Does Anxiety and Depression stand in your way?

Feeling stuck in your pursuit of the life you want? Despite therapy and self-awareness, you might still struggle with lingering negative emotions.

It may look like everyone else has everything under control, but many successful people face their own battles with negative thoughts, self-criticism, shame, and anxiety.

Many of us silently struggle to cope after a traumatic event that has profoundly disrupted our sense of self.

Is therapy the right thing for me?

Deciding whether therapy is the right path for you can depend on a few factors. Here are some signs that therapy might be beneficial:

James McNinch, LCSW

James is a licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 16 years of experience developing some of the most high-profile and influential trauma-focused treatment centers in Malibu and across the globe. He began his career studying child attachment as a Full-Bright candidate at Arizona State University and working as an Addiction Crisis and Trauma Clinician for the University of Arizona Medical Center and state/federal agencies. Treatment centers brought him to Malibu to change the addiction treatment culture, increase positive outcomes and train clinicians in trauma-informed care and addiction modalities.

James is currently an instructor at the University of Southern California while developing NARM-AC with his partner Dr. Laurence Heller, PhD (https://narmtraining.com/).

James provides individual therapy virtually and in person to California residents from his offices in Westlake Village and Los Angeles. He is trained in the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) and in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trauma therapy to address the identity distortions and relational patterns created as a result of childhood and relational traumas. His approach is heartfelt, connected, and life-affirming.
